- Why should I trust a wireless service?
Link reliability is one of the critical metrics we use to design our network. Our team of RF engineers, technicians, and IT professionals live and breath wireless connectivity. We guarantee that our performance is as good if not better than a traditional wired service.
- How will the weather impact my service?
Our network is designed to compensate for the sometimes unpredictable Iowa weather. Please be aware that your service may temporarily slow down due to excessive rainfall in extreme conditions (think monsoon), but you will never lose 100% connectivity. Rain, sleet, or snow: we'll keep you connected.
- What happens during peak hours? Will your service choke like some other providers?
Absolutely not! Our network is constantly being monitored for suboptimal performance and it will intelligently adapt to address any sort of slowdown that occurs. We comply with all network neutrality standards that have been recently abandoned by the government at the request of big cable and telephone companies, meaning we will not throttle connections to popular services or extort them to prioritize their content. Ask your cable company if they will guarantee the same.
- Do you offer TV service?
Not at this time; however, we highly recommend "cutting the cord" and use popular online video streaming services instead of traditional cable or satellite TV.
- What about phone service?
We plan to offer VoIP (voice over IP) services in the near future; however, we don't have an exact estimate of when at this time.
- What exactly do you mean by managed WiFi?
More often than not, the WiFi network within a residence is the reason for poor performance either because of interference or inadequate wireless coverage. We can design a custom solution for your home or business and monitor it for a small monthly fee, guaranteeing that you always get the most out of your Internet connection.
- What can I do with the upload speed?
Real-time data backups, file sharing, HD video conferencing, etc. are all made possible with fast upload speeds.
- How do you deal with interference?
The wireless backhaul of our network uses FCC licensed spectrum which ensure interference-free operation. The modem used for our residential "best-effort" customers operate on unlicensed frequencies for the connection. The software in the modem will pick the best available channel given the conditions present and it will automatically adjust for the dynamic nature of the air interface.
